One of the Worst Games Out January 2, 2008 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
Where to begin!
First off the trailer for the game looks excellent, until you play the game... This game is definitely not wii sports boxing. The range of motion for your boxer (and others) is quick flicks of the wii-mote. Standing up and punching, blocking and leaning as in wii sports boxing is a no-go.
The most annoying aspect is the in-game sounds. Basically, your character and the in-game characters have three different noises. High pitch, low pitch and "Puhffft" grunts. Trust me, play this game for five minutes and the same sound over and over gets very stale very quick.
Overall the graphics are decent, but combined with the terrible audio, lackluster controls make for a boring game.
best boxing game available for wii... December 18, 2007 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
... if you enjoy a third person view over a first person view. I personally hate the first person view, and feel it's confusing on whats actually going on. This game is better than victorious boxers and wii boxing, but not overwhelmingly better. The single player mode is pretty short, but the fun comes in if you play against one of your friends in a 2 player match. The controls feel natural, but can have a slight lag sometimes. I have noticed the controls make you use some strategy to your fighting, whereas in Victorious boxers your best stategy is just to flail your arms around. Personally, I would wait around until next year for 2k boxing game (EA Fight Night series has been sadly discontinued as of Dec. 18th). But if you cant, this budget title should satisfy just fine.

Controls are absolutely horrible, and there is zero character customization (There are 5 or 6 male, premade characters). The view during 2-player matches isn't split screen, which detracts from any possiblity of a first-person feeling. The single improvement over Wii boxing is that you can walk around the ring with the nunchuck joystick. The game is simply terrible.
Stick to Wii Sports Boxing!! December 17, 2007 14 out of 15 found this review helpful
This game is real bad. It is better graphically than Wii Sports Boxing but not at all better in game play. Save your money for something better.
Not the Boxing game for the WII December 15, 2007 16 out of 18 found this review helpful
I was excited about a boxing game for the we and was very disappointed in this games performance. Very unsophistocated in everyway. Not responsive to the Wii motion system. Ready to Rumble is better and that came out 6 or 7 years ago. Very disappointed, cannot believe such a game is on the market.
