3 out of 5 stars Confusing and Frustrating   June 7, 2008
I really tried to get to know and play this game. I am a big fan of the "dynasty" modes in the college sports games. I played this game for a few weeks, but haven't touched it in over a month. This is probably a much better two player game than a single player game.
The gameplay is frantic, spastic, unrealistic and it's hard to follow the ball. I gave up on trying to control a player because I couldn't keep them anywhere near where they should be. Dick Vitale's in game comments get old real quick also. "Mumble-Mumble, way to shoot the rock, BABEEE!!!"
So I decided to just sim the games. After beefing up my schools player ratings (cheating), and adding a mammoth 7'4" center with maxed out ratings (cheating again). I then tried the dynasty mode three seperate times. I Won the National Championship once, and got to the Elite Eight twice. But after every season I lost two scholarships for rules infractions that you have no control over! The next season I would have only 10 players instead of 12 on my roster.
Saving and loading rosters and games is slow and just a plain chore. I spent over 20 minutes naming and adjusting my school's roster, only to find it not there when I tried to start my season. I had failed to save it correctly.
The Create a Player mode is tedious and poorly done. I could never get a caucasian player to look better than a light skinned semi-Neanderthal. But, the graphics are good, and the recruiting can be entertaining.
This COULD be a great game if EA sports would improve game play, and simplify and speed up loading and saving. Also, FIX the Create A Player!

3 out of 5 stars Same as Before, but still pretty good.   February 8, 2008

I'll agree with other reviewers that this game has not really changed since at least the 2005 edition. That being said, I still enjoy playing it. My favorite part is the in-depth coaching experience, particularly recruiting. I find it more enjoyable than the actual gameplay which is not very realistic. The game never flows very well and I find that I'm able to get far too many dunks on offense and way too many steals on defense. I probably should move up a difficulty level. Other than being able to steal the ball alot, the actual playing of defense is extremely difficult and it seems impossible to stay in front of your man, particularly in the post. Overall, its a fun game that could definitely be improved upon.

5 out of 5 stars Take It From A True Sports Fan   January 18, 2008

I enjoy buying this game title each and every single year that it comes out. Mostly for the reason that the NCAA adds a few new teams to the Division One play, so I wanna know who they are that way I can keep up with the experts. Besides, this helps figure out who will be good on the next level. But this game is great to play and especially if you have realitives to beat.

1 out of 5 stars What A Shame...........   December 31, 2007

The only thing that is different is the front cover of the game. Please save your money. Its not worth playing. Better yet, not even worth renting.
