good deal January 6, 2009 This is a good deal. Save about 11 [..]. just have to wait a few days for it to ship.
Good price for a product I shouldn't have to buy January 5, 2009 We also have a PS3 and so don't quite understand why Xbox charges a monthly fee (or gets away with it). I've seen nothing in XBox Gold I could live without, but for thirty eight and change for 13 months, it was worth a test drive. Yet to be seen whether or not it will be renewed. (This is in no way a PS3 vs. Xbox argument overall - just finished Halo 3 and loved every second of it!) My card came quickly and I did not have to scratch anything on it to get the code.
Worth the money January 2, 2009 Bought Xbox Live from Amazon because it was cheaper than Wal-mart or Target and because I love Amazon.
My son uses it for gaming, but I bought it primarily for streaming video from Netflix. I love it!!! I was going to buy the Roku box, but am definitely glad I researched a little before I forked out the money for it. I have too many electronic things in the living room...didn't need anything else.
Luckily my son will share his Xbox with his Mom...LOL!! We both enjoy watching movies and he enjoys the gaming! It was definitely worth the money.
Best Price December 31, 2008 I'm very pleased with the multiplayer capability afforded to me with this card. It's also the best value I could find anywhere with free shipping and the cheapest price, period. Call of Duty 4, Left 4 Dead, and Grand Theft Auto 4 have been a blast online.
Why do I have to pay for this? December 29, 2008 0 out of 7 found this review helpful
Xbox Live is basically Microsoft's online store for Xbox products, games, and movies. That being said I have paid $300 for an Xbox, $50 a month for internet access and the USB input doesn't accept wireless router connections so another $50 for wireless connection in order to pay $50 a year for a shopping website membership? Why? Everything on Xbox Live costs money except for basic chat functions. Even downloading user created games costs money. Even if you have netflix and are paying a subscription for that you must also pay a monthly subscription to xbox to stream the movies via your OWN internet connection. Where is the justification?
You may argue that World of Warcraft and other online gaming communities charge monthly fees, but at least you know your money is going to continued game development, etc. and you KNOW what it is going to cost you to play upfront.
